Fregatte F 548 "Yiyang" in der Kieler Förde | Eine Fregatte vom Typ 54A (Nato: Jiangkai II), die F 548 "Yiyang", läuft in die Kieler Förde ein. Die Schiffe vom Typ 54A sind moderne Mehrzweckfregatten die in großer Stückzahl gebaut werden. Sie sind relativ preiswert und werden auch nach Pakistan exportiert. Ein Großteil der Elektronischen Anlagen und der Bewaffnung dieser Schiffe beruht noch auf Russischer Technologie. Die Marine der Volksrepublik China ist seit Jahren dabei seine Flotte zu modernisieren und zu erweitern. Ziel ist es die Flotte von einer reinen Küstenverteidigungsflotte, zu einer Weltweit operierenden Flotte zu transformieren. Im Zuge dessen zeigt China seit einigen Jahren auch immer wieder in Nordeuropa und in der Ostsee Präsenz.
